Fume Hood Clean-Out Competition

Join us for our second annual EH&S Fume Hood Clean-Out Competition during Lab Safety Awareness Week 2025! We encourage labs to evaluate their fume hoods and look for opportunities to reduce chemical storage, improve housekeeping, remove equipment from the sides and rear of the fume hood, and maintain equipment on stands or blocks to improve airflow to name a few improvements.

The competition is open! Submissions will be due February 7. Click here for the submission form. Be sure to have both before and after photos of your fume hood.

You can access the competition flyer here to share with others!
