EH&S has developed guidelines to help facilitate the process of a complete or partial laboratory closure when an investigator is vacating, relocating or renovating a lab space. The guidelines provided below outline the procedures to ensure laboratory closure is conducted in accordance with health, safety and environmental regulations and policies. When laboratories are vacated or being prepared for renovation, they must be left in a condition that is safe for custodial staff and contractors to perform their work and in a condition suitable for a new investigator.
