CCOHS

EH&S has subscribed to an Academic Support Program provided by the Canadian Centre for Occupational Health and Safety (CCOHS). CCOHS provides campus-wide web access (from any WU computer including hilltop) to 8 valuable Health & Safety databases listed below. No password is needed. If you are prompted to enter a user name and password then the computer in use is not in the IP range for Washington University.

ENCYCLOPAEDIA OF OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH AND SAFETY:

Comprehensive, timely and accurate coverage of the core allied fields encompassing occupational health and safety. With contributions by internationally renowned experts, this one-stop reference provides jargon-free answers to the most critical questions involving health and safety in the workplace.

MSDS & FTSS:

Over 150,000 Material Safety Data Sheets, in English and French (FTSS), contributed by North American manufacturers and suppliers.

CHEMINFO:

Practical, summarized occupational health and safety information on over 1,200 frequently used chemicals.

CHEMpendium COLLECTION

A comprehensive chemical hazard information resource.

HSELINE:

Over 175,000 citations to international documents on health and safety with emphasis on UK Health and Safety Executive and other European literature.

NIOSHTIC:

NIOSHTIC® is a bibliographic database which provides comprehensive international coverage of documents on occupational health and safety, as well as related fields. It contains detailed summaries of over 200,000 articles, reports and publications, spanning over 100 years.

RTECS:

Toxicology exposure limits and regulatory information on over 140,000 chemical substances.

CISILO DATABASE:

This international, multilingual database provides references to all aspects of health and safety with an emphasis on training and policy documents from various countries.
