Infectious / Biohazardous Waste Disposal

Departments are charged $.28/pound to cover pick-up and disposal of these materials. Departments are responsible for purchasing sharps containers directly from a vendor, such as Fisher Scientific (800-766-7000), or LabSafety (800-356-0783).

Disposal Guidelines

• Infectious/Biohazardous Waste Removal Request Form

• Proper Closure of Biowaste Container
  Bag liners must be closed following this procedure to avoid DOT Fines and Penalties
