Excess chemicals or chemical waste	EH&S chemical waste pick-up service
Tissue culture waste (liquid)	10% (final) concentration bleach for 20 minutes followed by drain disposal
Tissue culture waste (solid)	Choose either: EH&S biohazard disposal service* or, autoclave (requires validation testing)
Needles, syringes, etc.	Approved sharps container, removed by EH&S

* If you are in a WU lab in a Barnes building, solid biohazard waste is picked up by Barnes, not EH&S.

Please note that all materials containing recombinant DNA, whether or not they are infectious, must be treated as biohazardous waste.
